Ballot-Access Petition Campaign Update

Despite limited resources, the LPAR Ballot-Access Petition Campaign is making good progress. Donors and volunteers have stepped up to keep the campaign going, but we still need the help of all of our supporters.

Signatures Collected – Nearing the half-way point!
The Latest Numbers:

The Libertarian Party of Arkansas needs to collect 10,000 signatures of registered voters in order to run candidates in the 2026 election. As of June 15, we’ve collected nearly 5,000 signatures. Adding the  signatures under contract with paid canvassers we have over 6,000—nearly 50% of the way to the finish line.

(Our target is 13,333 raw signatures, with the expectation that as many as 25% might be rejected as invalid.)

Kudos to our volunteers! – A big day at “No Kings”

Of the signatures we have in hand, over 25% were collected by volunteers. Their efforts are crucial to our campaign.

We had an extraordinary volunteer effort last weekend. Volunteers fanned out across the state to attend “No Kings” events and canvass for signatures.  Covering Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Russellville, our volunteers collected over 500 signatures in one day!

Special thanks to our top signature gatherers: Stephen Edwards, Doug Peterson, and Michael Pakko.

The efforts of volunteers are crucial, but we also need to raise more funding for paid canvassers. Please give generously and help keep the Libertarian Party of Arkansas on the Ballot in 2026!

In the News …

Syndicated columnist Steve Brawner caught up with LPAR Chair Michael Pakko while he was collecting signatures in Benton, Arkansas.

In response to his first question, Dr. Pakko replied “Well, I’m collecting signatures for the Libertarian Party to become a new political party for the eighth time.”
