The Libertarian Party will be on the Arkansas ballot in 2026, and we are seeking candidates to run for public office.
If you believe that individuals should be free to live their lives with minimal government intervention; if you think that freedom and prosperity thrive in a world where markets are allowed to operate freely and the U.S. remains at peace with its neighbors and the world; if you believe governments should exist only to protect our rights and freedoms—then consider joining the Libertarian Party of Arkansas and running for office as a Libertarian. Our goal is to elect liberty-minded candidates who can not only win elections but also influence the political discourse in our state.
Our strategy involves three types of candidates (see below). A full-time campaign is not necessary to make a meaningful impact. While energetic campaigns challenging the current establishment are encouraged, even a simple candidacy provides voters with an important alternative—more choices for greater freedom and less government.

The Libertarian Party of Arkansas will select candidates at our Annual Convention on the weekend of February 21-22, 2026, so its time to get started. If you’d like more information about becoming a Libertarian Candidate, you can register at https://my.lp.org/run-for-office/ or email us for more information at elections@lpar.org
We will be in contact with all prospective nominees to request more information about you and your campaign plans. At the convention in February we will be providing some basic candidate training and tips for campaigning. Plan to be there!
