Libertarian Nominees for the 2020 Elections

At a Special Nominating Convention on October 26, the Libertarian Party of Arkansas approved nominations for several candidates for the 2020 elections. These candidates will move forward to the next step in the process, filing paperwork during the state’s “party filing period,” November 4 through November 12.

The candidates nominated were:

  • Ricky Dale Harrington, Jr., U.S. Senate
  • Michael Kalagias, U.S. House of Representatives, District 3
  • Frank Gilbert, U.S. House of Representatives, District 4
  • Wayne Willems, Arkansas House of Representatives, District 15
  • Judy Bowers, Arkansas House of Representatives, District 22*
  • Stephen Edwards, Arkansas House of Representatives, District 77
  • Kevin Vornheder, Arkansas House of Representatives, District 100
  • Lee Evans, Justice of the Peace, Crawford County, District 1
  • David Dinwiddie, Justice of the Peace, Jefferson County, District
  • William Whitfield Hyman, Justice of the Peace, Sebastian County, District 7
  • Brian Leach, Justice of the Peace, Sebastian County, District 13
  • Zach Mulson, Justice of the Peace, Sebastian County, District 11
  • Casey Copeland, Justice of the Peace, Washington County, District 13
  • David Humphrey, Constable, Benton County, Township 5
  • Bryan Aguiar, Constable, Benton County, Township 1**

 

*Judy Bowers was nominated to run in the special election for Arkansas House of Representatives District 22 (to be held on March 3, 2020) as well as in the November 2020 general election for the same office.
**Bryan Aguiar was added as a candidate after the convention.
