The Libertarian Party of Arkansas is pleased to announce the first details of our 2011 LPAR State Convention!
The dates for the convention will be April 9th at the Comfort Inn in downtown Little Rock. We will be introducing a brand new Bylaws for approval at the convention and we will be having elections for the LPAR Executive Committee members as well, so, if you are interested in helping the LPAR grow and would like to be a member of the Executive Committee, consider running for one of the positions! Members of the LPAR will be receiving a copy of the proposed Bylaws in their mailboxes in late January or very early February, so be on the lookout for this.
Our guest speaker list at this point will include Dr. Mary Ruwart and R. Lee Wrights. We are working on having another special guest as well and will let you know when the details of that have been worked out.
Dr. Ruwart is a research scientist and libertarian speaker, writer, and activist. She was a leading candidate for the 2008 Libertarian Party presidential nomination and is the author of the award-winning international bestseller “Healing Our World.” She is a current At-Large Representative for the Libertarian National Committee.
Mr. Wrights is a writer and libertarian political activist living in Texas. He is a former Libertarian Party national vice chair and executive committee member. He is also is the co-founder and editor of the free speech online magazine Liberty For All. Mr. Wrights has formed an exploratory committee to determine whether or not he should seek the U.S. Presidential nomination from the Libertarian Party.
