State Chair Gerhard Langguth Resigns

Earlier this month our long-term State Chair Gerhard Langguth announced his intention NOT to run for re-election in 2011. However, during an Executive Committee meeting Wednesday evening, Gerhard resigned his position, though almost a year remained in his term. Gerhard will remain on the Executive Committee as Parliamentarian and Previous Past Chair.

Arkansas Libertarian Party Endorses Holt in U.S. Senate Primary

(Little Rock, AR) Today the Arkansas Libertarian Party (ARLP) announced their endorsement of U.S. Senate candidate Jim Holt and Arkansas House of Representatives District 31 candidate David Sanders in the May 18 primary.

“The Arkansas Libertarian Party is willing to stand up for individuals who are sincere about smaller government and greater fiscal responsibility,” said Gerhard Langguth, ARLP State Chair. “Even though the Libertarian and Republican Parties differ on some social issues, these men are serious about ending radical government spending, and that’s an issue we can absolutely support.”
